How Google AdSense Works
Putting AdSense links on your website is very straightforward. When you create your account with Google you'll get your personal AdSense members area. This lets you see how much earning, which of your websites are performing best, and of course how to put the correct code into your website.
The process is very simple. When you go to the AdSense setup area you will be asked a series of questions about what type of advert you want to display. You'll also be and I asked what colour is you want to use and what lay out you want. You simply take or click the correct boxes and eventually Google will give you a block of code which you simply copy and paste onto your webpage where you want the adverts to appear. That's it!
The hard part in getting Google AdSense to work is the same as it is for any form of online marketing - getting real people to click on the link you want them to.
With AdSense you are slightly more limited in the ways you can get people to your web site and still make a profit.
- Using pay per click marketing doesn't really work. If you think about it you are paying 100% of the cost of getting a person to your web site with the hope that you will then get 75% of the value of the adverts they click on. For every person who doesn't click and add you lose all your money. Take my advice on this one. Flush your money down the toilet and save yourself a lot of bother!
- E-mail marketing doesn't really apply as you need to be inviting people to your web site to view your website content otherwise why will they come? Asking them to click your AdSense adverts will confuse them and at worst an annoyed Google as it's against their terms of service.
This basically leaves organic search results. This is where the search engine's list your website when somebody searches for a specific topic because the search engine think your website is one of the best information sources.
