Generating Affiliate Sales

Once you've identified a market and chosen some products to sell all you need customers. This of course is the hardest to get right. There are three main ways of getting customers to a place where they can buy your product.

  • Using search engines and other websites to link to your affiliate pages. We call these sorts of links organic. This means the search engine or other website links to you because it thinks your page is worth going to. To achieve this you'll need to use a range of search engine optimisation techniques.
  • Using paid advertising on the search engines. This is called a pay per click (PPC) advertising. Here you'll mainly be using Google adwords.
  • E-mail marketing where you build a list of people who are interested in hearing from you and then tried to offer them suitable products through direct e-mails.

Getting this part of the process right is crucial to your success. If you get it wrong by not getting enough visitors, getting the wrong visitors (people who don't want what you're offering) or getting the right visitors but not persuading them to buy you'll end up wasting your time and money. Whatever technique you decide to use (and I advise you use all techniques) you'll need some solid, dependable advice.

The best way to get this advice is to invest in a couple of instruction manuals. I've tried quite a few to build my knowledge and I can tell you there is a wide range of quality in the products you can buy. Below I have a list of the ones which I have personally bought and found to be of great use. Please buy these ones first and then try other as if you must.
